Sylvan Learning of SW Calgary

Sylvan offers a very systematic approach, and its learning plan is tailored to each student's unique requirements, that is identified during the initial assessment test. Our son has been attending Sylvan Learning SW Calgary for 2018-19 school year to develop his English writing skill, which has been significantly progressed since. At Sylvan, the reward program (tokens) encourages students to participate in their classes actively and promotes positive habits such as punctuality, staying hydrated, etc. We would highly recommend this branch to improve children's academic achievements.

Both my daughter attend Sylvan. The youngest daughter had switched from French immersion to traditional school because she was struggling in both languages which translated into all her other subjects. When she first got assessed prior to starting the 2018-2019 school year, she was assessed at a grade 3 level in English when she was entering grade 6. She started going to Sylvan SW 4 days a week, 2 hour sessions and we drive from Panorama Hills to take her there. She also got assessed just before Christmas for Math and she was also at a grade 3 level. Currently, she’s now doing grade 7 lesson in English and grade 5 math. She’s improved so much her teachers have commended her and calls her the star student. She used to get upset in Math but now she’s coming home and telling me she’s get 100% on her tests and quizzes. She’s built so much confidence and you can definitely see her attitude change when it comes to school. I’m so thankful for the staff and Karyn for guiding us along. I am so happy my daughter doesn’t feel defeated all the time and am delighted to hear how well she is doing now. I would definitely recommend Sylvan SW to anyone.
